Anyone ever have a problem with their intermittant wipers not functioning properly?
The reason I ask is because mine work fine on slow or fast but don't work on the intermittant settings.

Let me know if you have a solution to my issue.

I've had a 90 sable, 94 taurus lx, and my 94 SHO...all of which the slow and fast works great, but the intermittent can be touchy. Sometimes the intermittent works, sometimes you got to caress it. boink

You need a new multifuction switch. Not too hard to change, just takes a little time and a torx driver.

Cheaper if the part is aftermarket and just as good as Fudmocos.

I would highly suggest for you to try cleaning the electrical contact first inside the multifunction switch before replacing it. I know on my '94 GL, the intermittance worked sporatically at best, but after cleaning the electrical contacts inside the switch, the intermittance setting worked like new.

Disassembling that portion of the multifunction switch isn't hard: simply pop off the cap off the end of the switch, which reveals a screw. Remove that screw, and gently pull on the piece to reveal the "inner workings" of the switch. You'll find a spring and a copper switch inside. Be careful not to damage either one of those components. Chances are you'll find some grease in there ... if you clean this old grease off and apply new grease, it'll work wonders for your switch.
