I've recently have been experiencing a problem with my '90 and today was a perfect example of what's been happening. It started right up today and I took it for a 30-40 min run with no problem. About 3 hrs later I go to start it and it acts like it's not getting fuel ( I do hear the fuelpump). 10 mins of trying (turning the key back and forth to ensure I hear the fuelpump each time) and it starts right up, I drive it to work, no problem. After work, it starts right up no problem. It seems like this occurs after running only a couple hrs earlier but not all the time. I changed the fuel filter and ignition coil and still have the problem. When running there's no CE light and no real loss of power. Anybody familiar with this problem?

The check valve on the fuel pump can be a possiblity. If your car starts fine, after turning the key from "on" to "off" multiple times, it's more likely the check valve. You can still drive the car for awhile, like this, but eventually you'll need a new fuel pump.

I've read some of the other (fuel pump) posts and agree that I have some of the same symptoms although I don't live in a high altitude or an extremely warm climate. The fuel pump was recently replaced 20 or 30k ago and I do hear the pump every time I turn the key. Nevertheless, I ordered a 190 from APEUSA and am hopefull this takes care of my problem. Thanks for the info.
