probe equalizer write-up

Hey anyone have a write up on installing the probe equalizer in tandom with the factory head unit and cd player? i've seen it done before and think it would make a great mod for my SHO. if anyone can help me it would be great thanks in advance

I was waiting until you got you headunit problems worked out. It's a rather complex install and the rest of the system need to be working perfectly first or it will turn into a big mess. You seem to have some wiring issues; make sure to chect out the wiring diagrams page: http://shoforum.com/diagrams/diagrams.htm . That should help you out quite a bit.

would the equalizer work if you have an aftermarket head unit? I really dont know how they hook up at all, so if you do have a write up, i'd be interested as well.

thanks jelloslug i'll let you know when i fix the wiring. i don't think its the amps I dont there is no amp bypas harness, with the aftermarket radio in and i disconnect the various plugs on the amps different things quit working. for somereason with the stock jbl radio nothing works ever. there must be something specific that the jbl radio uses that the aftermarket dosent. i'll do some more hunting electrical ghosts tonight.
