Pro M 92 MAF

Does anyone know anything about these things. It is huge. It came with a showshop ECM, so I am hoping it is tuned as a set. I also got the injectors because I think they are higher flow.... talking about the one on the left. The one on the right is a Lexus MAF.

I thought the PRO-M MAF could just be installed without any chip or ECU modifications. You can find advertisements for it in the old SHO Registry magazines. When I get home, I can scan and post it.

Wow. I owned one of those so many years ago. The original runs were great housings and I think-memory fuzzy here, but maybe we put an oem plastic sensor in the housing? or maybe it came already calibrated? The larger MAF ultimately proved to do not much, but it sure was cool looking when i wasted my money on it back in the day. I had to have it. Fool and his money back then for sure.

However.. if you have it as a supporting mod for other larger induction plans then maybe it could be interesting.

Next thing you'll find is a Nook modified larger throttle body.

Pretty sure this thing is the pro M92 and not the pro M77. That's what makes me nervous. Their website says it is good for 1500 horsepower at the high end all the way down to 200 horsepower at the low end. Seems like these things are mostly used on really serious Mustangs.

I was wondering about the 92 reference as I had not heard of one that big. Thanks for clearing that up. The website does list the 89-95 SHO under the list of cars you can pick that MAF. It even list the SHO for a PRO M80 or M75. I didn't think these were available anymore except used (if you can find one)

Oh yeah. that is big. Mine was the 77. That is big. Sounds like something that was made to upsize the v8 80mm oem setups. Crazy. You'd need alot of airflow to use that efficiently in a v6.

Should I swap the internals into my 70mm? Downsides?????

Don't swap the sensor and housing.
