Pre-convention meet

So what are we doing?! We need to do one more thing before the convention, and I think it'd be beneficial to maybe have a fix-it day just before we leave so everyone can get prepped to go. We're only like 6 weeks away!! I know there was talk of a track day but I'm thinking no one is going to be able to afford doing that and the convention in such a short time frame from what I've read. What about the weekend before we leave? I know there are a few things I definitely need to get done: brakes, rear motor mount, ac compressor to name a few. I don't know where we could do it at that would have room for all of us. Wonder if there's any possible way we could all chip in and rent a garage for a day? How cool would that be?
Give me some thoughts and suggestions, it's definitely time to start thinking of what you need to do to prep for the trip.

Fix it day has been talked about since February but it seems only Jason, Brian and myself ever get together.
As for the track, we have to wait till after summer before there is an opening. As soon as I have the slot, I will let everyone know.
I will email Torrie again and see about another dyno day before the convention.
With 3 SHOs, Jason and myself are always having a fix it weekend.
Brian, Jason and myself were gifted with good weather and have even hit the drags a few times. I guess lets all try to be more open with what we are doing and when so we can get together more often.

I am talking to the higher management at work to see if we can use my lot to have the meet. We have a covered canopy with plenty of lights that will fit 15+ cars. The only downside to it is that we would have to start work on the cars after 8pm, cause thats when we close. I'll let you know as soon as i find out any more info. Oh and those that want their cars detailed before the convention lemme know, casue I am a Master Detailer .

As far as getting together so far I wish that I could get together with you guys, but ever since I moved up to management, I work 10-9 5 days a week, never have weekends off and my days off are stagered and always change :cry: . I just hope I can get the time off for the convention cause I found out today that my manager is gonna take the same time off. :hpoop:

If Nick can negotiate to get this space, it's absolutely perfect. Awesome space to work on any cars and to detail them.
I'm sorry I haven't been able to make it down south lately. Things at work are just NUTS like you wouldn't believe and working 6 days a week gives me no time to do anything. I'm trying to hire a weekend person within the next few weeks so I can actually have a life! But then I wouldn't know what to do with myself...
