Ok.. I checked a few things.. still no power ... New cables, checked the diagrams.. seems fine... on the diagram the ground is seperate from the starter, but I'm assuming if its in the same place it would be fine that way. I checked with the negative cable still attached, to check continuity from the negative post to all the grounds, mainly the EEC (on the rear intake bracket), and the DIS, both are fine, so I know the motor is grounded.

I have continuity to the main fuses (by the firewall) via the positive cable, passing thru the starter, no issues there. But when I put the cable on, I have no interior lights, no dinging, no fuel pump.. nothing.... ??

All I know is that the ground for the starter is attached to a bolt-stud. The two (2) power cables are attached to the post on the solinoid. I have had the same symptoms and it turned out I did not have both positive cables hooked up to the solinoid post.

Well.. that bolt stud deal your talkin about was trash when i found it, and its long gone. I opted for a stainless bolt, and a pair of brass washers, and torqued the snot out of it. In electrial circles, its bonded. :) And I just found out my assisitant was looking for a dome light which wasnt there, but my alarm powers up I can unlock and lock my doors, I think I might have an interior fuse out.. lol Time will tell tho.. im just double checking everything Hoping its not a freakin short.. thats all I need.. lol

Well.. as an update.. I didnt change anything, just torqued em all down a little more. I think I was just being to easy on the starter. I've broken I dont know how many studs off those relays before. But my tank is drained, I'm all full of fluid, goin out for some 93 octane, and some injector cleaner stuff, to try n clean out the fuel lines a bit. I'll let ya know how it goes, after I give birth to it. :)

ok well it sounds like it wants to take off, but it wants to backfire on me, and not get up and go. Is it that normal to have to crank it 10 times before it'll go? :( makes me nervous. Everything seems ok otherwise tho.

Codes ran ok in koeo, just the 511, but i have a chip.. so thats not a problem.

Ok.. well it keeps sounding like its ready to take off, I checked , and have spark, my tach moves, my dis ground seems ok, i have fuel on the fuel rail.. dont know why I would have a pressure issue. Is there something small that could leak to cause an issue?

My battery is crappin out, so its on the charger again, and I swear it was soooooo close to takin off.. just dont know if this is normal for a new motor.. to get all the goofy oils and stuff outta the combustion chamber and stuff? Wahhh... help... lol what am i missing? what should I check...

Ok.. well here's something I noticed was kinda similar sounding...
http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=67487&highlight=cranks and now I'm wondering about timing. Is it possible to say get one of the heads 180 degrees out? Say the marks on the pulley are ok, but is it possible for it to be backwards, but have the lines be ok? I'm about to yank the intake top cover and valve covers to check, I remember the bolts being lined up with the edge of the head, but wonder if the machine shop had them upside down? Is that possible? Thanks again.

Im taking a shower, and firing up the grill.. gunna eat my victory steak early.. lol

Well.. the teeth appear to be ok. The marks werent lining up perfectly, but it didnt jump as they are all 8 teeth off, crank included, so I'm assuming when the dots turn to those marks its all lined up ok. I guess the only thing is to check the exhaust cams that are driven by the chains? What should I look for in the heads?

Someones gotta have an idea..i see you all reading this... :)
