My front pass side window was only working with the drivers side door open. So I read up on here to look for a loose wire in the wire boot in the door hinge area.

I removed the boot and found the loose wire. It is a white wire that clips into that little black cylinder with all the other wires. So, I removed the loose wire completely (unhooked it from the black cylinder) and tried to insert it back in and now the pass side window does not work at all.

Does any body have any ideas that could help me out? I suppose I will need to remove that black cylinder that holds all the wires but I cant seem to get the top off. How do you remove it?

Please help guys....I love my SHO but it has a handful or so of these little "weird" issues that i would like to get straightened out before winter.

(SEE PIC)

Thank you

If it's like any other plug in the car it's a series of wires with special connectors crimped on the end and set into a two piece plug, shouldn't be able to just yank it out 'cause it's probably not in that connector anymore. You'd need to open it up, find out how to take the plug apart and crimp another back on then put it back in it's hole and close the plug back up. But I'd wait for a second opinion on that, I've never even seen the inside of one of those connectors.

dude i just had this prob with my drivers rear window this is how i fixed it

well i was looking for the lose wire i found it then cut the end off and added about 8-10 inchs to it then took off the drivers door pannel and the window switch for the hole car found the same colour wire on the back of the switch and held it there temp and ran the switch and bingo the window worked so i then i spliced into the wire taped it all up and put it all back i made sure to tape the hole wire thats in the door jam quite a few times so if it rubbed a little it would be ok also make sure the wire thats in the door doesnt get in the way of the drivers window when it goes up and down
make sure to put the rubber boot back on with a new zip tie

so did you cut the end of the wire off at the boot? How did you run it to behind the door panel? Did you run it thru the same hole that the others go thru?

thanks!
