I have A power steering issue. I have a problem when I'm turning the wheel, the power steering seems to resist me turning, then let off, then resist again. It's like I'm jiggling the wheel, but i'm not. This happens whether I'm moving or Parked. any suggestions?

Try flushing the p/s fluid out, if it still is there, I've had similar symptons go away with a pump change.

Go ahead and flush out the PS fluid. Instructions are in the FAQs. You might get lucky.

Don't be surprised if you end up needing a new rack, though. Yours is a classic symptom of a binding rack.

Or... it could be the classic symptoms of leaking seals within the rack. Feels like the power assist is being controlled by an on/off switch. A remanufactured A1 Cardone 22-214 rack from an O'Reilly Auto Parts was only $79.99 for my 1991. I'm quite sure we have the same rack and I had the same symptoms as you described. Though the cost of the rack is minor, the effort to install it is not. That is not a job I care to do again. But then, the original rack lasted 250,000 miles. Good luck.
