I was actually thinking about venting the hood along with installing small fans in and around the intake manifold to ventilate cool air. I agree with you, the SHO sensors have a real problem with heat. The engine itself is very well cooled, however ford or yamaha didn't take into consideration irradiating the heat away from the engine compartment. headbang
