possibly bad egr? please help

so my 99 sho had a very small miss over a span of about 6 months. i never tried to address it because it wasnt effecting my mpg and it wasnt putting out a code. i finally decided to address the problem this week and spark tested all the coils (all fine), changed the plugs, and cleaned the intake to the best of my ability. the car ran fine for about 15 miles of so after putting it back together and then started missing again, worse than before, and has started to put out a code saying the hose is not connected to the egr valve. think i should just ry and replace the valve or what? sorry so long but any help would really be appreciated

I'd be willing to bet:

1. You have a weak coil. May test ok, but be weak enough to cause a miss

2. You overlooked a hose. Follow the hose that connects to the top of the egr, it will branch off adn connect to the back of the intake.

would this affect my a/c? because since the check engine light came on it went out all at once

the code it put out said that the upper tube of the egr was disconnected or blocked, but its not. i even tried changing the egr yesterday and it still acts the same

well, i gave up and had a shop run a diagnostic on it. they erased the code and it hasnt come back, they also figured out it was the 2nd cylinder that the miss is coming from. even though i spark tested it when it was in the front, i guess it just wasnt easy enough to see. im swapping that coil tomorrow and let you guys know how it comes out
