Hi all,

I've been digging into my 90 and its various problems and found some dark spots on one of the plug wires at the coil pack. Does this look like maybe it wasn't making a good connection? Or is the coil pack having issues?

That does not look like it is making connection at all.....bad corrosion and the black spot looks like a possible arch scar....replace those wires with brand new...coil pack is probably good, they can take a beating

Yeah, that looks like ****. Can't say anything about the coil pack as I can't see it, but the wires need to go.

I would start by cleaning the contact at the end of the wire and the contact in the coil pack, since I am cheap and don't like to spend money I don't have to. I think a good cleaning will make that all fine.

Phillips screwdriver and scotch bright pad....you might be able to cut the scotch bright pad to fit down in there and then just turn it back and forth.....if not then use the Phillips screw driver to get the scotch bright pad down in there
