I am planning on getting my intake ported and swapping in BBB in the near future.

My question is, will these mods be noticeable (Performance wise) without a tuner or do I absolutely need a tuner?

If I do need a tuner, what would be the best choice?

My current setup is a 3.2 swapped MTX with a drop in K&N and 2.5" catless Y-pipe.

Any feedback is appreciated.

BBB's are awesome! Made a very noticeable difference in my 89.

As for porting I personally don't think it's worth it unless you do it yourself. I ported mine and all I really got was the satisfaction of saying I have a ported intake.

I say start with the BBB's - you'll probably be happy with just those.

Thanks for the tip. I was planning on starting with the BBB and going from there

If you have the time you can just port your intake yourself. The biggest work is to be done on the short runners. The long runners just need to be gasket matched. The head ports can be gasket matched as well.

I also worked on the sharp edges where the BBB mate with the tanks, but I have no idea if it helped anything.
