I 2nd SM105K's remark about don't get wrapped up in the numbers as ambient weather and lots of factors can affect the numbers.

As well as they did not show the area under the curve which is most important than just a peak value. Example - Would you give up 8 peak HP over 200 rpm to gain 2HP more over 75% of the curve between shift points?

MaxPower came through and ported my 2013+ Exhaust Manifolds. They port matched them to the turbo gaskets. Now I'm looking at sending them my GH Turbos for port matching. Then I'll have no turbo restrictions. They can also get everything thermal coated. Won't have to worry about cracked turbo housings. Now just to grow a larger set of balls and pull these turbskis off my back in my garage. .....welp, it'll save me money and I'll get intimate with my girl....or I might pay someone dunno.

Just swapping your 10-12 Exhaust Manifolds out to 13+ should result in more air flow to the turbos. The stock 10-12 Exhaust Manifolds are big time restrictive....something our older siblings 13+ don't have....

I had to dig but I found the FB post from SHO Ecoboost Owners. Someone did a flow test on the 10-12 compared to the 13+ cast manifolds. Welcome aboard Randy! If you don't mind could you share the turbo side you port matched as well?

Single turbine housing image is also a Gearhead modified unit

The multi part image is a full stock unit I ported for a set of EPP center sections upgrades
Has the 10-12 manifold for size difference. Note the large area of carbon as to the actual hole.
While this may raise full spool time - these are small turbos, which spool too fast already, will wake up the flow at high request

Has anyone shown a HP increase on a stockish ecoboost? Better dragstrip numbers?

Any monkey with a carbide burr can hog the insides out and get more flow, or even make a simpler manifold design that increases flow, but on a stockish engine that won't necessarily equal HP. What's likely happening in an example like the one in the video is the increased flow came with increased hot side volume which decreased exhaust velocity, maybe even allowed for some reversion that the "restrictive" design was preventing, so the turbos just don't spool as fast. Port matching the manifolds to the turbine housings could result in the same, as can doing the same to the exhaust ports.

Hot sides need to be very small and restrictive before opening them up results in any significant HP increase.

You would have to ask the F150 guys about that. bpd1151 is the first one having it done on an SHO that I am aware of.

I assume some tuning would be in order to take advantage, but the more HP an engine has, the more benefit there would be. Not going to replace bigger turbos, forged rotating assemblies, high compression pistons, etc.

I'm 80% done removing my GH Turbos and to see the OEM 10-12 Exhaust Manifolds open is quite a laughable experience. The turbos are very small on these boats but damn....that manifold is an obvious bottleneck. Its more of an opportunity to port stuff than the actual intended goal. How much will it help? Hard to know as I'll be installing XDI35, DW LPFP, EPP Dual CAI, MSD Coils, new set of Sp542 plugs as well as new fluids. 84% WGDC on 19 psi GH Turbos pre new mods. We'll find out how much better they breathe post install and retune of it all. For reference I'll compare to the WGDC% at 19 psi again...before adding more boost if any.

Same turbos and similar mods my 13+ friends are seeing about 65% WGDC compared to my 84%. Clearly my turbos are breathing harder than they need to. Like running with a straw for air.

I was kidding. That color is not suitable in any car. Well..maybe a groovy Corvair van.
Might work in the van. Then youll need to grow your hair out...whats left anyway, and start putting tabs of acid in your headband. Go on that magic carpet ride you keep talking about.
