After having the sho off the road for over a year, ive finally got it all back together, getting it ready for the road. Ive remidied everything except one thing a pooping sound from the exaust. Its mostly noticible at low rpms or idle and is fairly constant. Slight power loss aswell. It did not do this the last time i started it, about 10 months ago. Could it be old gas causing this? Its the only thing I can think of since ive done nothing to the car that could cause this. A tiny bit of the gas in it is over a year old and the rest it 6 months old.

You need to narrow down what is causing the sound.
Spark plug not firing?
Fuel injector not firing?
Out of spec valve shim or burnt exhaust valve?

I have the same problem. I had a DTC that told me my cylinder balance sensor was picking something up..... My guess is a Missfire... I need to do plugs and wires so hopefully thats it...

UPDATE- I took out #2 spark plug and it is carbon fouled, this is obviously the issue since the others were not. I did take this one out when I was working on it, but replaced it soon after. Thoughts...

Thanks guys but I found the problem. I must have disconected the plug wires at the coil at some point and had 2 mixed up. Runs like a champ now!
