So I'm polishing an old set of basketweaves for something different. I only plan to polish the outer surface, down in the holes will probably get painted. I've already gotten most of the paint sanded off and gotten those ridges out of the surface. What are the proper bits or discs to use to get it to the ultra-shiny point with minimal visible scratches and pits? I know it's a multi-step process but I have no idea what to look for at the hardware store. If it helps any, I am using an air compressor, not doing it by hand.
