I finally got off my butt and started repairing/cleaning up this old police grill. One of the top tabs was busted, but I remolded & repaired it with a Plastex repair kit. It seems pretty tough and I think it’ll hold up.

Next is sanding it down, priming & filling all the bug dents in the paint. It looks like the surface of the moon in a couple of places…

Me too. I miss my old 89, that was my first car back in 1997 (I’m old).

Thats a rare item you have. I wonder how many 90 - 91 police edition tauri were built.
I think more taxis got it than police cars. But I know you could also pick one up at your local Ford parts counter.

Glazed all the little imperfections, I’ll sand it again tomorrow.IMG 6553

Thanks! Always wanted a police grill when all the cool kids had them in the 90s, but I could barely afford a SHO back then.

Thanks, now I have to get the front wheel bearings & strut rod bushings changed out, put new tires on it and get it on the road...

looks great!
Thanks, it's been down for a week waiting on wheel bearings then a new LH spindle (somebody destroyed the bearing seat which explained the bad bearing).

Now on to replacing the thermostat due to the typical low temp gauge. I think every V6 SHO I've owned needed that when I bought them.
