Just put new borg-warner plug wires on and they leak water in the spark plug housing.

Hi Chris, Welcome to the forum.

There are only 4 or 5 sets of wires that actually fit our SHOs.

  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">OEM - Motorcraft
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Taylor
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Magnecor
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Vitek

I think that they are it, although someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Not to sound like a ****, but the Search Tool here is quite good. Do a quick search and you'll get the part numbers, prices, and every thing else you could think of!

The lowest priced source for the OEM Motorcraft wires is FordPartsNetwork.com at $83.99. The WR-4033 wires fit both the 3.0L and the 3.2L engines with no changes to fit the 3.2L. I also welcome you to the SHO Forum. Yes, the search feature, available at the top right of most Forum pages, is a helpful research tool.

Go with the OEM Motorcraft wires. There is no risk of them not working. I have never tried any other kind because the Motorcraft work fine.

I put in Motorcrafts an they fit great. Only thing is - I think I may have a bad wire. Anyone know what FPN does about such a problem? frown

Call 'em, they've always been good about rectifying any problems.

Re-reading your original post, are you saying that there is water in your plug wells just after installing a set of BW wires? Were you foolish enough to wash off your engine with a hose? Are you sure it's water and not oil leaking from the plug well seals?
