Just to try to help out our fellow North Americans. Try www.barrieford.com. The price retail is $240 cnd (160US) they may be able to ship them to you and you can save $100. Although they don't list the parts you can send them an email and check it out. Just a thought--I bought wholesale and paid $202 CND ($130US) so its worth a shot.

Guys, Guys, Guys!
FordPartsNetwork.com... $84 for 3.0L wires, which do fit the ATX, so long as you don't use the clips on the cam cover (on #3, I think).
I believe the ATX wires are under $140.

Maybe you just got a bad batch. No product line is 100% error free. Did they fit properly at all since you bought them? Could you have somehow moved the wire inside the rubber/plastic housing? If you can't get it right take it back.

The ATX wires are 1"-3" longer per lead than the MTX wires. So if you don't route them through all the clips and retainers, the MTX wires may fit on an ATX engine.

Don't count out the aftermarket wire sets. ACCEL, BWD, Bosch, Taylor and the later Magnecore (as well as Niehoff for our friends north of the boarder) wire sets all use the correct configuration/height spark plug boot and seals the well just like the Motorcraft wires. They all combine the MTX and ATX applications (so they all use the ATX's longer lead lengths). Plus these aftermarket sets use a low resistance spiral core wire construction vs. the high resistance carbon/graphite core in the Motorcraft wire. This allows more energy to reach the spark plugs, which is a good thing. Best of all, the price of the aftermarket sets (expect Magnecore) are actually less than the Motorcraft sets.

Just browsing and have to mention that the MTX wires will fit ATX cars. I was completely shocked at the additional cost for the ATX. My buddy (a Ford mechanic) and I compared the two and opted to use the MTX set on my '95' ATX. Just a little snug but not so to affect performance or rub up against anything they should not. BTW the MTX cost $69 Canadian, which is roughly $43 US for genuine Motorcraft wires.

Ryan--did you take your intake off and re-place the wires? I thought you just put them on there without fishing them thru the hard spots at the last meet.

Dude...if you want to take the intake off and put those wires on right let me know. We can get together one weekend and get the job done. Could even clean the intake out while we're at it if you want.

This is pretty easy stuff. Just be meticulous. Get some ziplock baggies and masking tape to label everything (bags of bolts, hoses) as you take it off. Makes life easy. You can do it!

Intake is easy to take off. I have it down to like 20 min. If you do remove it ... Clean the intake like Bizzy said. You will notice a difference.

Tell ya what...next warm spell we get (unless you know of a garage we can use) we can get together and do it right. It's not all that hard to do. I've found that taking pics of it before you do the work helps...especially if you're unsure of yourself. But even if we didn't do that we'd have my car as a model. Intakes are one of the easiest things to take on and off...it just has that formidable appearance to it is all. And the paper or plastic bag idea is an absolute must!
