It's supposed to be a tighter fit. A bit more of a pain to route. The cost savings in the 3.0 wires plus having the cylinder numbers printed on the wires make up for it. I think most people who know that it can be done just choose to save the money and install the 3.0 wires.

Yes, they fit just fine. No special routing is required, just make sure that there is no slack between the wire clips. The most important reach is between the rear valve cover's driver side clip and the coil pack. Just make sure that the wires have a straight path under the throttle body.

And make sure that, if you removed the intake manifold, the wires aren't pressing against any of the small coolant lines under the TB.... :eek: :eek:
