please help

ok i have a 97 sho was sitting at idle and all the sudden engine died started it back up and it felt like it droped half power running like crap. computer said 1234 miss fire tps and iac was bad so i replaced all 8 coils and plugs and tps and iac started it up same thing. checked fuel pump psi was good checked injecters ok i put it back on computer and got code miss fire in 1234 i am stumped on what is wrong any help would be great plus new fuel filter i cant afford to keep putting money in it buy trying to guess what is wrong. thanks

Sounds like your cams may have slipped bud. Not good if that's the case.

You might want to pull the valve covers and make sure.

well i know the front cam is ok because the water pump runs off that one you can see the belt turning and the code i get is 1234 miss fire and that is the back can one cam slip and other keep working? it runs but it runs like 1234 or gone . but no noise like banging or racket att all like i said i was sitting at a drive thrue had been driving car all was good then bam it just died startred it back up and it was like it was running on 4 cylinders love this car dont want to let it go . one more thing if back cam is bad what am i looking at as far as fixing it replacing both cams? and heads shaved i have no idea or should i just say good bye to my friend .

Cylinders 1,2,3,4 are the rear bank. $1000 says you have spun a sprocket.

I have 96 and replaced my engine last year (43000 miles) for 1500.00 and that included a 3year 36000 mile warranty! I've been driving it about a year with no issues. Not sure if I can post name of place so pm me
