How far is a realistic distance to get help? There might be some people in FL but not super close to Lauderdale. Like maybe toward Miami or port st lucie. Send a private message to K-DAWG he is a member (I think he sold his car but still around). At the upper left you have your screen name, inbox, and alerts. Put the cursor on the inbox link and the dropdown click start a new conversation. Type K-DAWG in the participants box and send him a message. It will go to his personal email he used when he signed up for this forum. Also Torrie from https://unleashedtuning.com/contact-us/ is also from pt. st. lucie area that used to sell Ford parts and then went into tuning. Maybe he has a good contact or two for mechanical help. He's not a member here but you could send him a message through his website.

Those guys aren't on the forum much so you will have to contact them and see if they have ideas. Don is in Port Charlotte but that is way far. I just don't see as many Florida people on here who have the older cars. It's getting that way all over because of the cars' age.

Yea. I figured. Message k dawg. But that look like a dead end. I really need a shop. People on here are trying to figure things out as if I'm doing the work. I do light work on my sho. I'm a chef by trade. That's the main reason I need a shop. im in my restaurant 12 hrs a day 5 days a week. Don't have much time especially when I have three little girls. Just dropped 2500 in the tranny. So don't want to junk over a small piece. Even if I can find a shop to fabricate it.

$2500 on a manual tranny? Wow. I know Doug's shop in GA can do it but he ain't cheap and he ain't close. Send chrism3784 a message and see if he can recommend someone. He is (or was) around Miami. I haven't seen him around lately but he did alot of wrenching on his custom SHO wagon.

You haven't given us any info on what your problem is. I guess you think that there's a problem with the quadrant (I have a new one). What is wrong with it? I've never known one to fail in working on over 250 SHOs full time for the last 20 years.

So I'll guess: you've had to change the clutch because it hasn't been disengaging? Is it possible that the cable has stretched? Some think that the quadrant is self adjusting, but it isn't. You have to adjust it manually:

Also inspect the output shaft guide that the throwout bearing rides on. It ruins a clutch for me and ford installed the clutch and did not find it till the 2nd clutch was installed.

I haven't been able to locate mine yet. I know it's in my shed but in which box of random SHO parts I do not know yet.
