I have not been impressed with the TRW plastic "composite" endlinks I purchased through Advance Auto.

First set starting popping within the first week. Installed replacement set after inserting additional synthetic grease into the ball joint boot. I'm not sure how the initial square piece of grease was going to allow for a long life?

Now I'm having problems with the nuts coming loose on the studs. (installed and tightened per instructions) I've had both sides get loose within the past month and had to tighten them back up and use loctite in hopes of it not recurring.

Anyone else had problems with these things?

I busted mine in short order. I ordered the Windstar ones from Josh T. at shonut. No problems since.

Almost bought the plastic ones.... but, I didn't trust them. Got the Moogs instead... Love 'em. Re-greaseable, lifetime warranty, solid response... Took a little longer to get and a little more expensive ($17 each), but worth it, in my opinion.

$17? I paid $25 each for the composite links.

Don't feel bad. I wasted $50 just like you. I was hesitant to buy the plastic links and questioned the amount of grease in them just like someone else. I moved the ball and socket around to spread out the grease, but still wasn't impressed. I'm gonna be impressed if they come loose. THey weren't exactly loose when going on. I made sure to put anti seize on the threads to make it easier to replace them. Do the joints get sloppy or does the plastic just break?

If you go to Moog's web site they have a good parts identifier. Then go to Rock Auto's web site and order away.
