I installed a new starter on my 92. The assembly came with a revised ignition lead that features an eyelet instead of a push in wire connection. Now the starter doesn't respond at all. No clicking, no turning over. Nothing.

I don't know if mis-installed this thing or not, but does anyone have a picture of how their starter is wired into the vehicle?

No, but I know what you're talking about.

There's the solenoid eyelet stud, and the high current terminals also on the solenoid.

The high current terminal nearest the starter should have a lead going in to the rear of the starter. The other high current terminal is going to have two leads connected. One from the battery (+), the other goes to the mega fuse block near the driver's side shock tower.

To test the starter once everything is connected, if you jump the battery (+) solenoid terminal to the eyelet stud, the starter should energize and turn the engine. If that doesn't happen, your starter is bunk.

Good luck.
