Got a 1st hand look at a PI yesterday. 1st off, the have significantly increased the structure. There's so much steel tubing in the PI (think race car) it's got a weigh an extra 1k. It runs from 1 end of the car to the next. The rear seats are different to compensate. Those same metal beams run throughout the doors.

2nd, theres a 2nd battery in the trunk and what looks like a bunch of auxiliary hookups

3rd, in the rear window deck where our speakers are, there are two fans there. Extra cooling I guess. I didn't quite understand that 1

4th, the dash has a my touch based system but I've heard it's programming is made just for the PI

5th, it's clearly based on the 2013 cause the rear and front bumper were different

Job 1 is in January. 3rd shift is coming. No more ot. Damn!

Hey TB,
Dumb question here, maybe because I speak French or because I missed an episode, but what is a PI? The way you describe it, it seems like a performance increased SHO, but if it starts with an extra 1K pounds, it goes against principles... Thanks!

Some of the agencies are going with systems like iForce and those systems may need ventilation (even though the power dissipation isn't all that high and the datasheet claims no internal fan cooling required). Did you happen to notice if the fans are pulling from the trunk or pushing in to the trunk? The iForce system I've seen is mounted to the underside of the rear deck which would make sense of the fans.

I thought I saw one with a victim pulled over on Randall Rd in Algonquin the other night. It was a very dark looking Taurus with stealthy lighting. Only got a quick look as I was unprepared to gawk. I'm taking it as a warning to be extra careful, cuz it did not look like a police car until the lights went on.

Yes I seen that same one lurking around Randall and 90 for sometime now. Looks nice as long as they stay out of my rear view mirror:naughty:
