Going to change the clutch, I want to replace a couple things wail I'm at it. Install ALSFB
Front and Rear reinforced motor mounts
and for the clutch going with stage 1

What other performance mods would be easy to do when the sub frame is out?

Replace the sway bar bushings in the front. Also, think about replacing all the bushings in the front so the whole car rides better. If it was me, I'd go with all TPR for the front. But even new rubber is better than old rubber.

Your sig say you have a 95 ATX  Now it is a good time to switch front sway bars to what you want. If you over 120k rod bearings. Inter tie rods.

Just below that, Kurt, he has an 89. ;)

Another thing to add is a Y-pipe, although they can be swapped out easily! I would also replace the doughnut gasket for the y-pipe-to-catback.

Oh yeah, don't forget to ditch those nasty front end links and replace them with Moogs. :thumb:

When it's time for a clutch job on my SHO, I'm also going to be replacing the rear main seal. You should consider it.

If you have installed the rod linkage shifter, this is a good time to disassemble, clean and lubricate the joints and replace the shift shaft seal in the transaxle. The front sway bar bushings and links are easy prey during the clutch job as well as the lower control arms, strut rods and strut rod bushings. Need new CV halfshafts? MTX output shaft seals? Synchronizer blocking rings?

And try to get my hands on a rod shifter (anybody have any extras?)

Quite a list. :oogle:

You will also need the exhaust pipe with the bend, as the stock 89 pipe will be in the way. Or, you can have an exhaust shop do some cut and weld, with bends. You also need the brackets and have to cut the floorboard. The search option can clear up a lot of questions about this.

Wow, do everything everyone mentioned, and you'll have one expensive clutch job! :oogle:

Get an Aluminum flywheel!

Here's what I did this past weekend:

Clutchmaster's stage I clutch
Fidanza revised flywheel (9lbs)
Aluminum SFB's
All new poly front suspention busings
New rear main seal
New rod bearings (at 100k they were pretty worn!)
New tie-rod ends
Greased previsouly installed poly sway bar bushings
Sway bar Endlinks
Synchromesh trans fluid (HIGHLY recommended)

Feels like a new car :)
