Bcb is well known and an actual business unlike a certain tuner we all hate.....
Thats cool, if they feel it's safe I am sure it is. But the guy running that tune even said that the tune that produced the dyno and 1/4 times you are talking about is a RACE ONLY tune and that he runs a more tuned down tune for the street... That's not an everyday tune.

No that is the tune Tony runs daily. His race tune is hotter still.

Amended post. That Tony doesn't run that tune every day. That was my misunderstanding

Lol not making excuses...just trying to point out there are very few tunes pushing 400+ without added fueling via meth or alternative fuel mixture used for an all around daily driver all year round. Not yet anyway... The OP can decide how hard he wants to push it.

Correct.....but 400whp is very possible if you wish. Without downpipes or meth

Hey guys, I will try to answer everything... This tune could be a street tune but I wouldn't run it year around, especially in WI. ;)
- I have run it a good portion of the summer on E20 and had zero issues, but again as it got colder I reloaded a toned down version. My goal on these pulls was to see what I could do safely on stock turbos and fueling system. I did fight fuel pressure issues after 2-3 shift spike at WOT on the street with this tune, not dangerous and not enough to lean it out, but 1300ish which does not leave me much headroom in cold weather etc. For race days I add additive to get to around 100 octane and then I drive on E20 the rest of the time. This tune holds 17-18 and peaked at 22 at that 2-3 shift... This tune was so dialed in and safe, that we added about as much timing as we could and it didn't even help much, with still no KR. I had it up to 419 HP, but I didn't want to do multiple pulls with that much timing.

Problem is when you start dealing with people you realize not everyone has common sense... I guarantee you that there will be people running their race only 400+ hp tune all year round..

All it will take is one or two morons to blow an engine with one of these newer tunes to ruin thier reputation. And no one wants to see that happen because people are stupid.

I ran the Livernois 4+X tune on my former 2011 SHO that my girlfriend currently owns.

That same 4+X tune is still running strong in it as well and winter is weeks away here in Pa.

My take on it is...if your right foot doesn't get heavy, you don't have anything to worry about.

Now, I don't know about anyone else, but when that ungodly white crap starts flying, my right foot stays pretty light.

Shhhh we don't want to rush winter, I am 1 mile from Lake Erie. I am debating putting snows in 2 or 3 weeks

Good deal, the 4+X tune is about as aggressive as I would go for an all year round tune. It's a very safe tune to net 380/420...

Only exception would be the AJPTurbo tune with the wastegate mod, strong fuel pressure there.

Of course when the snow starts falling mine goes into the garage to hibernate lol...

Speaking of colder weather, for the 2.0 GTDI at least, there was a TSB addressing a lack of power issue, and replaces a CAC tube & screen assembly *between CAC & TB.

Don't you shush me...

I'm 70 miles east of Lake Erie...we get all the snow YOUR lake produces.

Way too far...

Ever heard of Bradford, Pa?

If not, think of a Zippo lighter or Case knife.

Basically everything within 100 miles east of Lake Erie catches all YOUR snow.
Hahaha hope so I go through there every now and then to McKean Co to service medial at the jail. your close to where I got my SHO at Midtown motors in Warren I am actually in Erie.
Always feel sorry for Bradford. I always see it as coldest spot on the map. even in the spring.
