the weather to change over annnnnnd........

http://www.livernoismotorsports.com...-Catted-{47}-Thunderstorm-Downpipe-Combo.html

Took the advice that was given here, added a 3bar-MAP and gapped plugs from Livernois also.

Jamie (hope I spelled that right) is a pretty cool guy to chat with...its nice when someone gets my sense of humor.

I'd like to make a shot out there this summer with a friend of mine (he has a 12' CTS-V) and hopefully get both cars on the rollers. Time will tell...

Thanks Jamie!

I definitely appreciate the shoutout! And don't worry about the spelling...the important part is that you love your parts. Welcome to the LMS family and thank you for your business.

This guy ^right here^ he gets it...

It did surprise me how quickly everything came (got them yesterday, a few hours after posting this), now I'm patiently waiting for my car to head into the shop as I've gotten to the point of not wanting to turn wrenches myself...aside from basic maintenance.

I sent an email for the tune and I'll just tuck the device away after I save them.

Thanks again boss, Livernois folk are good people and I strongly recommend them to anyone.

I'm having trouble finding parts for the 2010 ie: I want the police Interceptor type grill as in the above picture, I hate my grill, I found a retrofit on ebay but it is for a 2013-15, I know the grills are different on the 2010 so I cant tell if it will fit or not, also want the 2013-15 LED tail lights, but I found out you have to get a 2013-15 trunk lid and wireing harness for them to fit right. Does anyone offer the 2010 LED tail lights? Can a 13-15 grill fit a 2010 front end?

NO sorry to tell you, there are no LED taillights for '10-12 cars, and the grill for '13-15 won't fit our cars. Totally different front end. Trust me, been looking at a way.

Wonder if DTBL is working on the LED taillights? Their equivalents look & work great on the Edge.

SHOrod had at one time started on an LED update for his vehicle. I don't know if he completed that project, but I wish you good luck :thumb:

I'll post pics as I go, trying to get a game plan right now, also going to fabricate my own CAI for the car, I'm having a hard time paying $300 for a tube with a filter mounted on the end of it, when I can do the exact same thing for about $75 without the name attached to it. I'm going from Turbo's up.

Thought it was time for an update...

First off, a huge thanks to Livernois and even more to Jaimie for dealing with my random humor. LME definitely knows what they are doing and I'm even more impressed with how much they look after their work and customers. *major kudos* Then this Jaimie guy, he's a riot to chat with on the phone and got me squared away with exactly (and more) of the results I was looking for. *Forum high-five*

This weekend I had the downpipes, CAI, t-stat and plugs installed. I waited for the car to return before adding the 3BAR and tune. (I went with the 4x-Plus)

Took it out for a quick cruise last night, but didn't get after that much...keys word "that much"

Podunked around to make sure everything was good to go, then took a quick spin down the interstate. Now granted, the roads here in Pennsyltucky aren't great to begin with, there is also a little salt/sand still making the roads full of complete buzzkill.

Slowed down to about 20ish and got after it...yup, it moves. More than I expected it to, to say the least. Ran up to right around 80ish and I was more than content...after all, its a 4 door sedan...powered by a v6. Only reason I mentioned that is because, some of my former toys were an 03' Terminator and vortec fed 04' Mach-1.

I did send an email this morning as it seems after the fans kick on, they stay on and I have also lost heat inside. I won't point the loss of heat inside in that immediate direction though, as I did have that problem before where it was only heating the passenger side. It 'fixed itself' buuuuuuuuut, it was present before.

Now as far as the tune goes...Jaimie and Anothony were spot on with what they told me. The car drives better than it did un-tuned (throttle response, no hesitation between shifts, smooth shifts, etc) and only shows it IF/WHEN my right foot gets heavy...and stays heavy.

On a scale of 1-to-10...Livernois and their employees get an 11. I honestly couldn't be more pleased currently as I know I will hear back from them about the only 2 questions I had, which weren't a major concern.

Now, if anyone else out there is on the fence about a Livernois tune, make the right choice and do it. You will not be let down with their products or their customer concern.

Sounds like a great experience!

Random heat loss sounds like you have a small need for more fluid in the coolant system. They are tough cookies to get to accept the correct amount of fluid with the heater core being above the rest of the system. Could try adding to the res. (About an inch above fill line) and see if it gets sucked in after driving some, full blast on the heat is advised to help in this.

It took about 2 hours to 'burp' all the air out. These EB motors like to hide air inside the coolant lines.

I did notice the fans kicking on a lot more often though. And again, once on...they typically stay on until I let the car sit still for a while if its running.

Hopefully you won't need to burp it again. Sometimes it takes a few rounds to get all the air out.

The fan was still running quite frequently today. I'm guessing there is still some air in there somewhere, which is hard to believe.
