Passenger power window acting up, here are the quirks.
Sometimes it works fine in both directions. Most times it will go up, but won't go down. You can hear / feel it grunting when it gets to the top and you hit the up button again.
I swapped in a known good drives door master window control switch and no change.
Swapped in a known good passenger door window switch and no change.
Not knowing what to do next, my next thing will be to take the door panel off, remove the window motor, do the grease change and hope for the best.
I have a feeling it is something else, because when it does work, it goes up and down at a good speed.
Anyone have any insight into this?

The windings or what ever inside the motor get flat spots like the power seat motors do. It can work great until it lands on that spot. Swap it out. Fixed mine. The grease change works awesome if it's just gummed up but won't fix that.

Also. I have gotten a stuck window up a couple times with a careful starter wack on the motor. Eventually didn't work anymore so I replaced it. On a good note I quit drinking since then so I don't use a hammer as much for fixin

Update:
While trying a lot of different things, I found if I hold the drivers door 1/3 open, my passenger window goes up and down just fine.
Just wondering - what is inside that can on the door that handles the wiring? Can it be serviced / repaired?
What is the theory on the 1/3 open situation.

That's new to me. A break in the wire in that rubber boot part in the door jam? Are you holding the door open by pushing against the switch pad?

Holding the door open using the arm rest, and running the window switch with the other hand. While the door is open this way, the window switch on the passenger door works fine as well.
Any ideas on where the problem lies.
I am thinking it is inside the driver's door near that can affair (on the outside of the door at the pivot point).

I just went out and dug around. Took the switches off and the best I can come up with is the wiring in the door maybe touch and go. It's in there pretty tight. Might be around that can/rubber on the outside a small break in the wire could get tugged on. I couldnt get the can apart to see inside that yet.

I don't recall - do these cars have just a wire bundle running from the A-pillar to the door, or is there a rotating connector there? if connector, that could be dirty/corroded up.

as I recall, the ability of the passenger switch to make the window go up/down requires that the driver's door switches work right, so I think you are on the right track by looking at the driver's door.

It is a rotating connector on the outside of the door near the hinge point.
Does the door have to come off to get the rotating connector apart?

no, you take the rotating connector apart to allow the door to come off. There is a single bolt in the middle of most of those connectors - you take out that bolt and it allows the connector to separate. I would do that and inspect that for corrosion.

There has to be an actual name for that can/rotating connector. Our local dealership doesn't know. Passthrough conduit is the best they could do.
