I am going to remove the brake assembly from the drivers foot-well area on my 90.
I have done it in the past, but all I remember is, that it was unusually difficult. I think one of the fasteners was a problem.
If anyone has done this lately, could you refresh my memory on what to expect?

I did this a little while ago, but I think there are three bolts that have to be undone. The one in the front is easy to see, but there are two that are under the dash that you have to reach and find with your hand. You just have to guide the socket over it and you will need an extension. If I recall, it helps to disengage the cable so you can swing the brake lever to help expose the fasteners. You can see the two fasteners holes in the picture, and I think there is another behind the lever in the picture below.

Thanks for the tips zoomlater, I was recalling something horrific, like the 3rd bolt requiring the fender to come off as it was fastened from the fender side.
Turns out it did not need to come out, sorry luigisho, as I was trying to get a better look at the wiring entering the cabin from the door.
I found the issue and posted my results in the electronics and audio section as it started as the passenger front window not working.
