The SHO's been overheating lately at stoplights so I went and pulled some codes and I got a 564, Electronic Drive Fan (EDF) Relay / Circuit Failure, seems it only has one speed, the slowest, then it stops mid test. So is the relay somewhere I can get to it and replace it or is it in that expensive controller box I figure I'll have to replace? :thankyou:

Anyone have what relay it is or the part number? There's a lot of relays but none of them seem to pertain to what I'm looking for.

Its usually the CCRM (box of relays) module. But you might also consider changing youre thermostat while you're at it.

Went about starting to change out the thermostat this morning, took the intake hose off and got the spark plug wires out of my way, popped the radiator cap and what was there? Nothing  I mean there was something, but it was way down in there. That hose had to be full of air. The only thing opening the thermostat when it opened was probably steam or what little water built up in there. Had to fill it with water for now but it's good. Turns out the overflow hose was clogged with what looked to be yellow sand or something, gritty and stained by the antifreeze. The overflow tank still has some in it but I can't get to it right now. And the coolant level sensor is toast, whatever protected the board from the fluid melted away and fell into the tank, so the electronics are exposed, just unplugged it for now so nothing fishy happens until I can get a new one.
