Just out of the blue my car decided it no longer likes to go into overdrive. I am now revving at 3100 rpm @65mph instead of 1600rpm. The automatic transmission was overhauled 13 months ago so the 12 month warranty no longer works. Anyone have a history of this problem or know what's going on. Thank you in advance!

Pushing the OD button has no effect. The car drives like it has only three gears (I know, it only has three gears with a torque converter thingamajig). So, at 50 mph it use to shift again and run low rpms at freeway speeds...now...high revs. Thanks

Check the connection at the "lock-up" solenoid. Clean up any corrosion and reconnect it. If that's not it get back to us. rangerj

Few questions that i have...

-where is the "lock-up solenoid? Easy to access?
Is this the torque converter lock-up solenoid?
-what is the vss and where is it? Easy access?

now with the engine running perfect, hate to run the engine at such high rpms while on highway (burning more gas plus disaster waiting to happen)
