center force dual friction (dont know that part # ) and ram clutches part # ram-88554r (p/n is from summit so it may be a summit only p/n )i never have even seen mentioned in the forums either of these two clutches and was wondering why ? these can't be too awful of clutches, and if we gotta spend $310- 460ish for a clutch for our cars.
i was just wondering, and if there are guys on the forums who have used either of these two clutches, please post about them.

Doug at Performance Plus installs Centerforce clutches and has one on his Gen I (or at least did at the '03 convention). The word I got from PP about the centerforce is that it holds very well, but it does not have a very smooth takeup. Strange, since I had a Centerforce dual on my race prepared 240z and never experienced any chatter.

thanks for posting about this. i knew there had to be a few folks out here that had tried them ,good, bad or indifferent, but everyone has only talked about the high revs setup, and 4puck and 6 puck setups, which from what i have heard about puck-style clutches are supposed to be good on say high horse mustangs and such, and are kinda not for alot of regular street useage.

i'll take a good holding stock style clutch over a harder engaging puck style.

also that tip about the clutch adjustment outta get alot more air-time,as my clutch has been a "engages 4inches off the floor type" since i have owned the car and i never knew about that adjusting the cable trick.(i knew there had to be a way to adjust the cable, but i hadn't looked into it yet,as i have only owned it for like 10 or 11 months, most of those being these colder ones, too.
