There’s no better way to run the charge pipe (terminology?) than across the front of the bay like that? Also, why doesnt the car overheat when you have a huge intercooler infront of it?

Wow, that's a large intercooler! Almost too big...

I agree, I would stray away from running the charge pipe over the front the bay like that. All the air you just cooled will start to heat up again as, from experience, that exhaust manifold underneath is hot and warms the pipe nicely.

Other than that, it look purdy.

Using an I/C with outlets on both sides, pretty much means one pipe has to run across the car. You could use an I/C with outlets on the same side, but then you'd have both I/C tubes AND the filter/air inlet all having to go through the one side.

Looks like it's going to be a nice setup. I would strongly suggest getting one of the GOOD (i.e. $200) turbo wrap covers to keep the heat to a minimum. I use them on builds we do and they make a world of difference.

I do have a dual core radiator on it right now. So there is extra coolant on the engine. Plus a 180 deg thermostat. So that should help.

The intercooler, is a "delta fin" intercooler. Its not like a radiator style fins it has a better flow through the fins. I will post a picture at the end of this reply.

I think i might get the manifolds ceramic coated and while im at it i might get them extrude honed for better turbo response.

I did look at that i really didn't like the idea of cramming everything on one side. This way i got room to work with. I will be wrapping whatever i can. Ill prob do i high temp coat on the charge pipes then paint them the color of the car.

Hope you can see how this intercooler is designed on the fin part ....

I vote for the ceramic coating. I had mine coated too because didn't like the heat that transfered to the piping. I'm not sure EH on the manifolds would be worth anything. They are of a decent size and keeping velocity up will aid in turbo response. Dunno though...

Where are you locating the MAF in this arrangement? Also, do you plan on using an air filter?

Pretty much like the supercharged SHOs out there. I'm trying not to loose the Yamaha plate i have on the engine.

wow, knife edge intercooler tubes. what is the make-up of the turbo T3 or T4 turbine and with a T?? compressor?

you could install the MAF anywhere, looks like the intercooler inlet may be a good spot on your car. having tried both ways I'm inclined to say a pressurized MAF is better than nonpressurized, for many reasons. so if you take that advise you can put it anywhere, so put it out of sight to keep the look clean.

I remember you talking about this a while ago and I'm glad your doing it. if you finish the turbo system like the rest of your car it will be a SHOw stopper for sure.

manifolds??? I say since your doing a custom turbo build take the time and build yourself a nice set of custom turbo headers.. that way u can have the hot side go the way u want it too..

Bump for a great car. I've seen his car in his garage and its OHH so gorgeous.

All the cars in your household are sweet. How does you brother drive the S/C R32 with the cast?

Also who bent all the piping for the setup? Im going turbo on mine but I dont know where to get the pipes bent just right. Do you think eventually you could help me fab a good setup on mine?? Obviously $$$ would be involved.
