I am about to buy a 93 SHO and the guy that has it now says that once it reaches op-temp, the engine cuts off and a code 212 pops..

In my SC days, this was crank/cam sensor or DIS. Another SHO owner and SC owner friend said that this could be the water pump leaking coolant into the crank sensor and causing a disconnection...He has replaced the cam and crank sensors along with the fuel pump...

Any ideas before I buy this car from SHO owners? I own two thunderbird SCs and have had some experience with this same issue, but it ended up just being the CPS..

Thanks...

It very well could be the water pump leaking down on the CPS its a very common issue.

I had a similar prob but my cats were clogged. Started fine and ran great, but when it got to temp it would just die. It only cost me $400 for new y-pipe w/cats and two O2s.
