So I’ve had my 2010 SHO non pp with 70k miles for about 2 weeks now and put almost 2100 miles on it and beleibe I’ve developed a boost leak. I can hear a whine from the turbos when I accelerate hard and power has been down. At the very very top pedal to the metal I’m only making 8.4 Lbs of boost and that’s a stretch. Any advice is greatly appreciate from the sho gods. Thanks!

soapy water in a spray bottle - drop or two of dish soap - spray down the charge pipes/vacuum hoses off said pipes and then start the car and look for bubbles. I would suggest doing it cold, and having someone possibly to slightly rev the car.

Do you have boost levels before the leak? 8.4psi after peak could be pretty normal.

Not sure I hadn’t ran and logs then. But I hear a whine now and it does feel a bit more sluggish

Peak boost is 12psi for a stock 2010 SHO. Think about whether you're hearing a whine versus a whistle. A whistle would more likely be leaking boost. Check every clamp on the charge pipes, they do relax over time.

the front one you could sorta see from the front, for the rear you definitely need to lift the car and i also had this issue where i was making 7 pounds and it in fact was the wastegate arm that had snapped off
My mechanic sent me this video

This is the best I have. The rear turbo is on the right. You'll be able to see the WG from the top of the engine with a mirror or go underneath and look straight up. The WG is at the back of the hot side of the turbo, just below the heat shield you see in the picture. Have you checked all of your hot pipe connections?

When I pulled my turbos, the rear one was missing the e-clip. How the arm had not fallen of the actuator, I do not know. No idea how long it had been.
