This is the first winter stored for the SHO any recommendations on fuel : full tank 93 , half tank 93 , or 1/4 tank 93 ?, or some non ethonal fuel Or none of the above ? Any fuel stabilizer ? Stored my limited last 2 winters just a full tank of 93. No problems in the spring. I know ethonal fuel goes bad if it sits too long. 5 months is not that long So just don’t want any issues with this car if any difference. Any suggestions is well appreciated. Just realized I didn’t put this in the maintenance section SORRY not sure how I could switch it.

Full tank is always best. Add STA-BIL and should be all good, whether E or free of E. Should run the engine a bit after you add the sta-bil and fill up so it is throughout the fuel system. Never hurtw to err on the side of caution

Thank you. I have a tune on the car the sta-bil won’t effect that come time to drive will it ?

Not really. OAR always adjusts, might cut a bit of timing, nothing outrageous. Tunes take advantage of the pig rich trims oem programming comes with, but its nice that tuned or stock, the car takes care of it for you automatically.

Would be interesting to get an octane number for Sta-Bil tho!

Fill it up, put it in the garage, and put a battery tender on it. Drive it whenever it's nice enough and no salt out. Has worked fine for my Mustang for the last 16 years.

That is the exact plan ! Although not gonna be any good days around here for 5 months. It’s a sad day today , after work in it goes. Supposed to get slushy and wet snow so I know the salt is coming.

I heard it’s better to put carpet down or at least something under the tires to prevent tire rot. No clue the validity of it but someone at work was storing their mustang and said if it’s on bare, cold concrete just sitting the tires could be an issue. Maybe something to research.

Yep....I just slapped a set of Winter Tires on mine yesterday and hope to see some snow this year. My Lexus was a beast in the snow, but I know the AWD SHO will be even better.

I'm with you. Just now putting away my DD and waking up my sho, a car I feel safest with in the winter.

I stayed stock size 245 45 20 and got these:

So far VERY quiet and cushy. They corner like I'm running on cream cheese-covered bagels, but that's to be expected on a soft winter tire.

I actually prefer them to the stock Goodyear F1s. Worn out at 19,000.

Yes, stock tires. About 6/32 presently. Do not like. Not like yours.

Yes, this is actually more to due with wheels. Concrete constantly condensates and over time will damage finish/clearcoat. Seen this firsthand on my buddies corvette

I live in Nebraska with some wicked ice and snow storms - never used a true "Winter," tire. All Season works just fine and with the AWD of the SHO... never an issue. I love challenging other AWD cars and even trucks!
