Shhh,the caps are a bit obnoxious
Hot idle should be between 11psi and 13psi.It should typically rise 12-14psi for every 1k rpm`s.Cold idle at start up,it hits 65-70psi.

I was just wondering were you got these figures. I've looked through several publications and to no avail. The books a min. @ hot idle of 12.8.

A brand NEW stock motor with zero miles should idle at 13psi(per Shawn from his days at FPS).Since most of us don`t have new motors,they typically run anywhere from 10-12psi(per my personaly motor,and anyone i`ve ever talked to about their idle psi).The MINIMUM hot idle psi you`d want would be 9psi,and that`s pushing it.The general rule has always been 10psi per 1k rpm,however the SHO usually sees a 14psi increase for the same 1k rpm.
