G'day....

Quick question...teflon tape on the threads
Y or N..??
Just picked up a pressure sw from the dealer
$10..looks like there is some type of thread sealer
on it, but not too much.

Thought I'd ask before I change it out...thanx.

A little thread paste wouldn't hurt but if you put tape or too much tape on it will stop the conductivity though the threads to the block and the sensor may not work.

Thread paste..??? I don't have any of that
around here...I'll just thread her in with what
they have on there now...never thought about
the tape in that way...good point...thanks.

They usually have tape on them (red in color).
You need some tape or paste on there or it will leak.

It has some type of red thread sealer on it..
should be fine....

Done...no leaks and I have my RED danger
light back...thanks guys..!!

for future references, they make a liquid teflon, use that
teflon tape can break off inside and clog the oil system
