its near the head/block gasket, right at the end of the block. points down and toward the firewall. If you have a 5sp its easy to see from underneath.

on a mtx its this
Oil sending unit is best to get from the bottom very easy to change. Put the car up on ramps of jack stands. Here is a pic of where it is minus the Tee and how easy it is to get from under.

I got mine off my atx using an oil pressure sender socket and a U joint socket from underneath. I placed the socket on from above then went under the car and broke it loose. Install new one from the top. You might have to move a couple cables that are in the way.

Remember, if adding an aftermarket oil pressure gauge that you cannot use the oil pan drain plug to get an oil pressure reading. As seen in the above pic, you need to add a "T" fitting into the block to get an accurate reading for your new gauge and still have your stock pressure gauge plugged in.

It's on an 95 ATX. Im not putting a gauge on, just simply going to replace the sending unit before I rip it apart for rod bearings. My "red light of death" is flickering at low rpm's at a stop and crossing my fingers on the sending unit. Im going back out to try again.

Got it changed out.,....and yes, it is somewhat of a pain in the ass on the ATX's. Had to get a sending unit socket and that made it a lot easier. Thanks for the support!!

You could just get an oil sandwich block,it fits between the block and oil filter.
They are cheap on ebay and provide ports 3-4 ports.
