I'm contemplating an RWD SHO swap. My only major hurdle is the oil pan. I think the SHO oil pan will interfere with the crossmember in the target vehicle. I'm trying to understand what my options are in this regard.

Questions: Will a "regular Vulcan V6" stamped steel oil pan fit on the SHO? Has anyone been down this path before?

I am a capable welder, cutting and welding the pan and the pickup in not beyond my skill, just wondering if there might be a simple swap solution to a more compact oil pan.

You only options are stock modified or custom from scratch. Both have been done by other's for clearance needs.

I saw Maurice's photos of his Fox body swap. Feeling a little apprehensive after having seen what he had to do to his oil pan and his cross member.

There was some mention that the XR4ti folks got away with a notched oil pan, but I can't find any mention if they had to modify the cross member or not.
