Not surprising, the level sensor is a very common leak spot on the SHO. It would probably be a good idea to go ahead and replace the gasket to prevent the leak from starting up again; at your next oil change would be a good time, since there is no oil to leak and you are already under the car. I think it a Ford-dealer-only part, under 5 bucks.DavidT:
well, it WAS leaking. I tightened it up. So far, so good.

Electricat said:The oil level sensor is at the left side of the oil pan (towards the front of the car). It screws right into the side of the pan. It shouldn't be able to leak oil on your cats, my money would be on cam seals (esp. rear one) or maybe oil pan seals.
