After about a week of putting on smoke shows for people at stop lights I decided to find it. I checked the rear cam seal and no leak there. Sensor was clean inside. I climbed under and checked the valve covers and no wet or oil residue on the block. I noticed oil was heavy at the bottom of the lower timing cover. The one behind the vibration dampener. Ahh OK the crank seal is toast. Tear it all down replace the crank seal and check the other two cam seals. All should be good now. Go for about a 45 min test run and come home to smoke coming out the hood. WTF
So I climb back under the car and I see a lonely drop of oil hanging from the corner of the timing cover. No oil preset at the bottom of the crank. Here is a pic. Any ideas.
