I have a 1990 Sho 5 Speed, I was going to do a spark plug change, when I went to take off the boot, I noticed, there was oil in my well, as a matter of fact there was oil in two of my front spark plug wells, the two outer ones on the front side. Anybody have any ideas??????

Look for the Fel-Pro valve cover gasket kit. The seals to prefent oil from getting in the wells need to be replaced. I had the same problem with my 95 ATX. You should do the 60K Upper service at the same time. Sry I don't have the kit number.

I just found the post I had put up a few weeks ago. You want the FelPro Valve Cover Gasket set VS50378R. You may want to replace your splugs and wires as well.

Get a turkey injector to get the oil out, and make sure to get new wires and plugs. If not, you're engine will actually run WORSE (or very possibly could) if you don't change the plugs and wires at the same time. Check out the Taylor Spiro-Pros about $75 on SummitRacing.com and they're better than stock (IMHO). For the red ones the p/n is 74268 and on Summit the p/n is TAY-74268 I believe Blue is 74668 and they do custom colors too, but that's a little more expensive.

Just last Sunday I changed all my gaskets, intake, valve cover, throttlebody, EGR, and intake runners, also changed plugs and wires...I must say that I have never driven a vehicle that feels so much quicker after performing just these maintenance items. Makes me understand why people mod SHO's because they respond so well to such little things. I also performed the TB coolant bypass and could not be happier with the results. I absolutely love my SHO right now, but of course, I'll keep in mind that anything can go wrong at anytime, so I'll try not to have too much fun....
