And on the way back Rose and I stopped in Portsmouth NH and did the harbor tour, one of the shots I took was of some real horsepower..... The USS Jacksonville...

Nice. Glad you two could make it down, Brian. It was a pleasure to meet you and Rose, albeit rather brief. Hope you're able to drop in again!

Maybe we should plan a track day. Its a good place to meet, and you can go fast all you want.

That's a great idea! The TCCA is renting Gingerman on Oct. 27th, but I know there's a lot of local folk that won't be able to make the trek to MI. Are there any reasonably priced road courses in New England?

heres to Ken and Chris

Agreed! Thanks for putting this together guys. I'm glad I finally made it to one, and I look forward to the next two. Hopefully I show up earlier, and get to meet more people.

I was thinking more along the lines of a test and tune at NED in NH. The closest road track I know of is in LI. NY.

But Im actually very interested in going to Michigan. Ive never been there, and I should have the SHO ready for the track by then. Hopefully I get to meet some of you guys that I havent met next time around. We have 2 months to plan, so theres no reason why we couldnt make the trip.

Jason...

New Hampshire International (Loudon, at the speedway - you use part of the NASCAR oval, part of the infield, and part of the upper hill area)

Lime Rock Park (Northwestern CT)

Those are two I frequent.

Bob, I'll try to make Gingerman. What's the info / cost, etc?
If Bob and/or TCCA doesn't mind non-Ferd guys who used to own SHOs and has room, I could be persuaded to convoy out with you, Fred.

i wouldnt worry about it just being you....its all of it in general...(now i feel bad about my sprirted run i took)...the last thing i want to see is coming on to the forum after a meet and reading about someone getting wrecked...or worse.I am asking to keep the fooling around to a minimum please...as you can see eveybody else feels the same way plus we only have 2 meets left, let's enjoy them.Like Ken posted earlier we dont want to "daddy" anyone and we wont...we want to keep it that way.

The more the merrier Jim! We're all car nuts, regardless of make/model etc.

In fact, the car I drove at Gingerman in June was a 98 Lexus GS400. Not mine, but my 91 was not being cooperative, and a good friend threw me his keys and said "go have a blast". This is also the first car I've ever been off track with. Very uneasy feeling, taking your buddy's $40k car off roading.

Anyhow, any and all are welcome at MI. I won't be making it out, and I'm not putting it on either. Jason Kennedy, a fellow admin, and good friend from the TCCA, is putting it on. I'll see if I can find a link to the info, and make a seperate post about it.
