So I'll be cruising at say, 45mph in 4th. I don't know about other people's cars, but at that speed in 4th gear, I'm barely putting any pressure at all on the gas pedal. Only problem is, the engine bucks a little bit...almost like the throttle plate's closing all the way for a moment. No check engine light at all, and no weird driveability issue....just that buck when I'm at really light throttle.

Any ideas? Or should I just suck it up and drive on?

Is it like a slight stalling or misfire? Or just the motor is jerking?

I feel something similar but its only because I have a broken motor mount & when I’m at very little throttle, the motor stops pulling the car so it sets back & it feels like it hesitates.

Not saying you don't know what a bad mount is, just trying to figure out if its actually a sputter in the motor or if somthings loose.

I've felt that before. Happens in 5th at 60 also. Like the car bogs or ignition cuts out for a moment. It seems to come and go. Last time it happened I was driving east on 94 from Marshall. I was just cruising along in the winter and thought that I had traction problems (it was snowing). Then I hit the brakes and they didn't lock(disabled antilocks) so I knew it wasn't traction related.

It hasent happened since the accident. For the accident, I only had to replace the airbox. I seem to remember it being filthy inside.

When was the last time you cleaned out your airbox(do you even have an airbox)? What about the little orange thingy inside the airbox? I think when I replaced mine, the little orange thingy came with it.

ok go ahead, tell me what that little orange thingy is. I've always wondered anyway. My guess is ambient air temp sensor.

Could be a numbe of things:
Clean MAF
Oil in the wells/water as well.

sounds ignition related to me though.
