I did a full throttle run with my car as traffic was clear for a good mile ahead. Punched it and got to 70mph and let up. I immediately could smell rotten eggs then it dissipated quickly.
1. Im thinking catalytic converter
2. Dreaded PTU fluid heat up (wouldn't doubt it)
3. Carbon buildup within the exhaust as my other car had the same smell after a full throttle pull from a standstill.

Im sure it's been discussed but my car has plenty of power, no check engine light, no codes, no drivetrain vibrations or noises of ANY kind. 2015 non-pp 119k

Just spit balling here, change gasoline brand, add a bottle of Techron to the gas tank, get a bottle of Cataclean and add that to the gas tank. I'd try one at a time, your choice which first. As long as the check engine light is off it's just an annoyance.

Will try that! I run 93 octane full time. I recently filled up with gas at a mobile gas station. I will try the cataclean and see what that does.

Was it a Wide Open Throttle (WOT) run? I think it's still the case that at WOT the PCM goes pretty much open loop and doesn't worry about trying to minimize harmful emissions, and therefore the smell is not abnormal in such a case since the air-fuel ratio will likely error a bit on the rich side during WOT.

Yes it was a WOT run so you're right! I didn't think of that.
