Odd Surging

Hey all, I just wanted to ask if any of you experienced a surge in RPM's while just coasting. I have a 93 ATX and when Im cruising around it surges and my RPM's go up and the car kinda pushes forward then it goes down. Any suggestions? Thanks!

could be a sticky iac, could be a dirty throttle body, could be a bad tps, etc.

are there any codes?

Honestly I havent checked. Codes on the car are weird. The CEL will flash every once in a while when im going at highway speeds (~55mph) Then it goes off..

Check your transmission fluid level.

commonly caused by bad o2 sensors.

pull the codes and post them, then we can help you rather than just guess.

i have the same problem. i have a 95 atx 3.2 and i took it to ford to be looked at and they said it was the tranny goin out. but it is still driveable.
