So I'll explain the issue I ran into, then the problem I found.

95 ATX Will not idle.

Obviously, I threw an IAC at it first with no avail. So I decided instead of throwing parts at it, I would truly diagnose the issue. I started by hooking up my Snap-On Solus scan tool. It told me that the IAC was commanded on, but truly it was not. So I eliminated wiring issues, then moved on to backprobe the PCM for IAC operation. There was no waveform from the PCM to the IAC. (square type waveform) Wala, I found it. Replaced the PCM and all functions are correct again.

How long down the list would the PCM have been had you not used your fandangled tool?
