Odd problem - suddenly stops

I had the tranny rebuilt two weeks ago. Now this has occurred twice; the car suddenly stops driving down the street. I hit the starter and it starts up like nothing happened. This is annoying and a sign of a bigger problem. My .02 is that the shop screwed up when this reinstalled the tranny and didn't secure every electrical connection among the 50-100 under the hood. In lay terms, "this sucks."

Water pump is functioning. If is was the cps, then my problems would be greater based on what people say here.
