No. This clamp is just after the resonator. This clamp holds the resonator section to the rear exhaust section. After the y-pipe spring bolts this is the only clamp on the entire system.
I didn't want to put this off any longer and went to the hardware store today for nuts. I installed this all original factory exhaust system Monday and have been driving around with NO nuts on this clamp since then. Thankfully this junction is VERY tight from the factory and nothing moved.
I got two M10 x 1.25 nuts on the U-clamp but they had more resistance than I would have liked. I still don't know for sure what the actual size is supposed to be. This exhaust system has always been in AZ and is in amazing condition for its age but there is still very minor rust on the threads. With that said the size might actually be M10 x 1.50 and the corrosion allowed me to get the M10 x 1.25 on with a little muscle.
Either way the nuts are tight and NOT coming off which is what I ultimately wanted. However, I'd still like to know the actual size because I'm OCD like that.
The reason why I went with the M10 x 1.25 size is (I thought) I tried a M10 x 1.50 and that did not fit. I'm now thinking that nut was not the size I thought. Oh well, the clamp is tight and those nuts never need to come off!
